Branding

The Old Court

Create. Innovate. Collaborate.

The challenge

The brief was simple: create a brand for The Old Court – a landmark building that honours Kidderminster’s history while attracting creative, digital and tech businesses.

It also had to work across digital, print, and the built environment – and have a visual connection with two other local regeneration projects – The Weaving Sheds and The Piano Building.

The solution

The typeface is bold and modern, distinctive and concise and achieves standout in its environment. It works as well in wayfinding and signage as it does in print and on social media.

Numbers are used throughout the building in wayfinding and signage and the numbering style reflects the logo.

At the core of the visual language for The Old Court is a structured grid – a direct nod to the building’s brick facade and a reflection of the digital innovation that will be housed in the new facility.

The results

Strong, eye-catching branding that is used to great effect throughout the building, creating a strong identity and elevating the space.

The orange demands attention, adds energy and freshness and is a common link across the three regeneration projects.
