The Weaving Sheds
Inspiring creativity in Kidderminster
The challenge
The Weaving Sheds were once the beating heart of Kidderminster’s textile industry, housing the looms and workers that produced the world-famous carpets. In Spring 2025, its conversion to a community space that will house events, workshops and ‘make space’ will be completed.
Our brief was to create branding for this new creative and social space, while including a visual connection to the other buildings in the regeneration project – The Old Court and the Piano Building.
The challenge was to create a unique identity that linked the building to its past, while conveying a contemporary and forward-looking brand.
The solution
We created eye-catching branding that references the looms and weave through the typeface and the brand marks. The strong orange links the brand to the other regeneration projects (The Old Court and The Piano Building), but the identity is unique.
The logo and brand mark work equally well across signage, décor, social media and print, creating a feeling of energy and creativity.
The results
An inspiring brand identity that places this historic building into a modern context. The branding looks stunning across multiple media, from large format to social media, print and wayfinding.
